Corona del Mar Beach | Camille & Liz

Waves lap at the shore

Summer air envelops us

As we brave cold sea

Stodgy rocks hold their own against the crashing waves on the sunny, California beach. Corona del Mar is beautiful spot in general. but when the sun sets over the water, it becomes an intimate experience like no other. Summer was on its way, but the air still had a bit of bite to it and it offered just the right touch of cozy to my session with Camille and Liz. They have been together eight years and are high school sweethearts, and they wanted to do a shoot to celebrate. My job is so easy when there are two people who are so comfortable together and have so much love and adoration between the two of them. I send them off and snap away. While I do some posing, much of my sessions are telling my couples to enjoy each other, to kiss and dance and run. This is just a date! The only difference is you have got a third wheel with a camera. These two definitely understood the assignment and were so fun photograph.

We had gotten there a bit earlier, so the sun only started to set about an hour into our session. We had fun the whole time, but golden hour really takes the cake when it come to artistic and deep photographs.

Corona del Mar is an absolutely gorgeous location and I can't recommend shooting here enough. If you are looking to get your engagement photos done here don't hesitate! You will need a permit for still portraiture which can be obtained through FilmLA (Newport Beach has given them jurisdiction) for about $82, though they were due to raise the amount, so head to the sites below to see any updates.

If you are looking to spend your engagement session having a lovely time while the sunset washes over this gorgeous beach, then you need to visit!

P. S. Dogs are also welcome on this beach so feel free to bring your pupper so long as it's after 4:30PM.
